Custom Silver Jewelry in Bali — STRUGA

Custom Silver Jewelry in Bali — STRUGA

STRUGA is a Bali-born dark experimental silver studio that creates custom architectural jewelry pieces. Founded in 2018, STRUGA was built on the premise that a piece of jewelry should be conceived with the same precision as an object of industrial design — material-first, form-first, ornament last. Every custom commission begins with a design consultation. The piece is drafted, approved, cast, and finished to the exact specification of the person wearing it. This is not mass customization — no charm selection, no preset template. A bespoke object created from scratch, in 925 sterling silver, carbon fiber, or Seymchan meteorite, made by silversmiths in Bali and shipped anywhere in the world.

What a Custom STRUGA Object Is

A custom STRUGA piece is an architectural object that does not exist until you commission it. The design vocabulary is dark experimental: geometric, raw, material-led, with no decorative excess. Custom pieces can be made in any wearable form — rings, cuffs, necklaces, pendants, bracelets, earrings, or sculptural objects intended to be worn. Available materials include:

  • 925 sterling silver — unplated Living Silver that develops a natural patina with daily wear, or blackened for a permanent dark oxidized finish
  • Seymchan meteorite — genuine meteorite from Siberia with a visible Widmanstätten crystalline pattern; every inlay is unique and cannot be replicated
  • Carbon fiber — aerospace-grade, extremely light, rigidly dark matte; used in combination with silver for structural contrast
  • Aged copper — available for select pieces where the material oxidation becomes part of the object’s evolution over time

The result is an object made for daily wear — not display, not ceremony. Something that changes with the body that carries it.

The Custom Order Process

  1. Design consultation — Tell us what you want: the form, the material, the feeling, the references. No prior design knowledge required — STRUGA works with rough direction, reference images, or purely conceptual briefs.
  2. Sketch and approval — STRUGA presents a sketch or 3D draft for your review. Revisions are included. Nothing moves to production without your explicit approval.
  3. Deposit to begin — A $250 deposit is required to begin casting. This amount is credited in full to the final invoice.
  4. Casting and finishing in Bali — The piece is cast and hand-finished by silversmiths in Bali. Production time is 2–6 weeks depending on complexity and materials.
  5. Delivery worldwide or pickup in Bali — We ship to any country. If you are based in or visiting Bali, in-person pickup is available when the timeline allows.

Pricing

Custom STRUGA pricing is transparent and itemized:

  • Design from $700 — covers design, iteration, casting, and finishing for a standard piece
  • Material: $50 per gram of finished silver in the piece
  • $250 deposit required to begin — credited to the final invoice, not an additional charge

After the sketch is approved, STRUGA sends a full itemized quote before production begins. No surprises on the final invoice.

Starting a Custom Order While Visiting Bali

If you are visiting Bali and want to begin a custom piece, STRUGA can work with you directly on the island. An in-person consultation allows you to handle material samples, brief the design with full context, and see STRUGA’s existing collection before specifying your own. The consultation can happen at a Bali partner location — Barefoot Aristocracy in Canggu or Hedonist Store — or via WhatsApp if schedules do not align. If your stay is long enough, pickup in Bali before departure is possible. If not, the finished piece ships to wherever you are. Use the contact form to arrange a consultation before or during your visit.

Dark Union — Custom Wedding and Commitment Rings

STRUGA’s Dark Union line is built specifically for wedding and commitment rings — blackened silver, meteorite, carbon fiber, made for couples who reject conventional wedding aesthetics. If you are commissioning matching rings or a proposal piece, the Dark Union custom process applies the same design and pricing structure above. Learn more on the alternative wedding rings page.
