The geometry is compact enough for daily wear, yet dense enough to read as architecture rather than decoration. If you've worn signet rings before, the presence will feel familiar. If you haven't, expect a week of adjustment before the ring becomes part of the body.

How do I choose the right size?

V.1 is built as a closed brutalist form, so it can't be resized later without breaking the geometry. Measure a ring you already wear on the same finger, ideally in the evening when fingers are slightly larger. If you're between sizes, go up — the mass of 10g prefers a slightly looser fit. Send me your size before production and I'll confirm. Every piece is handcrafted to your specification.

How do I care for the Living Silver finish?

Living Silver is silver without rhodium plating — the surface reacts to skin, air, sweat. That's the point. Tool marks deepen, edges soften, the ring records the wearer. For basic care: wipe with a dry cloth after wear, keep it away from chlorine and harsh chemicals. If you want to pull back patina in the recesses, a soft toothbrush with mild soap works. Don't polish the whole surface — you'll erase the history.

Can I order V.1 in a custom size or with Dark Treatment?

Yes. V.1 is made to order, so any size is possible — write it in the order notes or message me directly. Dark Treatment is the V.3 territory of the Brutalism family, but I can apply it to V.1 geometry as a Custom Order. Engraving inside the band is also available. Custom requests add roughly 1–2 weeks to production. Everything is handcrafted in my workshop, one piece at a time.

What makes this a STRUGA ring and not just another silver ring?

V.1 came from a conversation with an architect about Soviet brutalist buildings — the honesty of raw concrete, visible formwork, no cosmetic layer. I translated that into metal: deliberate tool marks, sharp angles, no polishing to hide the making. It's the first ring in the Brutalism family, the design code other versions grow from. Like Blade, Thorn, Heart or the Signature Asymmetric line, it's built to be worn as part of the body, not stored in a box.

Every irregularity, every angle is a decision, not a defect. V.1 is the starting point of the BRUTALISM family: a ring that looks as if it had been chiselled out of a single block of metal rather than cast in a mould. The series is built around a shared love of Soviet brutalist architecture and grows version by version (V.1 in raw Living Silver, V.3 in Dark Treatment, more to come) — each one a different geometry inside the same design code. Living Silver finish — silver without rhodium plating, the surface lives and changes with time.

About STRUGA. STRUGA is a dark silver jewelry brand founded by Dmitry Strugovshchikov and Ekaterina Strugovshchikova, handcrafted in our Bali workshop by master silversmiths.
